Alissa advises clients on hiring to firing, and everything in between. Though her passion for law began in her high school law class and in studying criminology, she became drawn to employment law in law school for its people-oriented nature.

Now, nearly five years later, Alissa helps employers navigate day-to-day workplace questions, drafting the documents that keep workplaces running smoothly and advocating on her clients' behalf, both inside and outside of the courtroom.

Her practice includes representing employers and employees in workplace disputes, with particular experience in wrongful dismissal and human rights matters. She guides clients through every stage of the process, always beginning with an understanding of the human side of the situation before charting the most practical path forward.

Alissa works with a wide range of clients, from large-scale global organizations to local independent boutiques, and adapts her advice to fit each one.

Outside of work, Alissa loves hanging out with her family and her dog, trying new restaurants, and catching live music whenever she can.

Alissa earned a dual Canadian and American Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Criminology and a minor in Sociology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University)..
