Jennifer helps leaders make confident people decisions, from everyday workplace questions to the most complex employee departures.

Growing up in a family business, Jennifer learned about employee and customer relations from an early age. Managing staff and golfers on the family’s par-three golf course, she demonstrated customer service and management skills beyond her years. She uses these same skills today in her own practice as lawyer, partner, and co-founder of Piccolo Heath.

Jennifer knows she's done her job when she's made your job easier. Over an 18-year career spent almost exclusively in employment law, she has advised employers of every size and sector, bringing a litigator's mindset to her strategic guidance. Every plan she builds is designed to hold up under pressure, and she knows when staying at the table serves her clients better than heading to court.

Jennifer has represented organizations navigating their people problems: complex individual and group terminations, wrongful and constructive dismissal and discrimination claims, nuanced disability management matters, and sensitive harassment investigations. As a business owner herself, she understands that legal advice only helps if it works in the real world, so she makes the complex easy to understand and skips the legalese.

When she's not untangling workplace issues, Jennifer is in her garden or cheering on the Jays, the Raptors, and the Tempo (and, when the bandwagon is in effect, the Leafs).

Jennifer earned her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario (now Western University) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Toronto.
